No horse or rider who has competed British Dressage at any level and ANY Horse or Rider Combination who has WON a intro will NOT be eligible to ride in this section...

Horse and Rider combination who have won a NOVICE test or ABOVE are NOT eligible.

Horse and Rider Combination NOT to have won a NOVICE test.

PRELIM secB:
Horse and Rider Combination NOT to have been placed in a Elementary test..

Combination not to have won a Elementary test.

Class 1 50cm RESTRICTED (to include lead rein)

This class is for combinations to have not been placed 1st or 2nd in any show jumping competitions

 

Class 2 50cm OPEN.

This class is open to any combination of horse/pony and rider.

 

Class 3 60cm RESTRICTED            

This class is for combinations to have not been placed 1st or 2nd at 60cm or above in any show jumping competition. Please enter this class in the spirit which is intended as refusal to enter competitors by the secretary in this class may be embarrassing.

 

Class 4 60cm OPEN

This class is open to any combination of horse/pony and rider.

 

Class 5 70cm JUNIOR

Riders must be aged 17 or under on day of show

 

Class 6 70cm SENIOR

Open to any adult combination

 

Class 7 80cm JUNIOR                      

Riders must be aged 17 or under on day of show

 

Class 8 80cm SENIOR

Open to any adult combination

 

Class 9 85 OPEN                                           

Class may be split into junior/senior if entries merit

 

Class 10 90 Open                                           

Class may be split if entries merit.

Format: All classes will be single phase. This means that you will only enter the ring once, and the second part of the course will be timed. Highest placings are awarded to clear rounds of the course and the quickest time in the timed section.

25. Lead Rein / First Ridden Stakes

This class is designed to encourage our younger riders into working hunter classes with or

without the aid of a leader (jumps will be low enough for leaders to jump without the need

for a trampoline or Red Bull). Ponies not to exceed 128cms. Riders not to have attained

their 12 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year.

26. Novice Working Hunter Pony

Not exceeding 153cms. Jumps not exceeding 65cm

Not to be registered with BSJA. Not to have been placed 1 st or 2 nd in any Working Hunter

Classes.

 

27. Working Hunter Pony

Mare or gelding not exceeding 153cms.

n/e 133cms – riders not to have attained their 14 th birthday before 1 st January in the

current year.- Jumps not exceeding 65cms

exc 133cms – n/e 143cms, riders not to have attained their 17 th birthday before 1 st

January in the current year.- Jumps not exceeding 75cms

exc 143cms – n/e 153cms, riders not to have attained their 20 th birthday before 1 st

January in the current year.- Jumps not exceeding 85cms

 

28. Mountain & Moorland Working Hunter Pony

Mountain and Moorland Working Hunter pony, registered with their respective Pure Bred

Societies of Connemara, Dartmoor, Dales, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland or

Welsh A, B, C or D. Stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old and over. Riders any age.

Classes will be divided by height not breed;

Not exceeding 122cms. Jumps not exceeding 55cms

Exceeding 122cms but not exceeding 143cms. Jumps not exceeding 65cms.

Exceeding 143cms. Jumps not exceeding 75cms.

 

 Championship – Open to 1 st and 2 nd prize-winners from classes 25-28

Sash to Champion and Reserve. Both qualify to go through to the

 

Supreme Championship.

 

29. Novice Working Hunter – exceeding 153cms, jumps not exceeding 85cms

Not to have been placed in 1 st or 2 nd in any Working Hunter Class.

Riders to have attained their 16 th birthday in the current year.

30. Working Cob / Riding Horse

Any height. Riders to have attained their 16 th birthday in the current year.

Jumps not exceeding 85cms.

 

 

31. Open Working Hunter

Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 148cm. Riders of stallions to have

attained their 14 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. Maximum height of fences

100cms.

 Championship – Open to 1 st and 2 nd prize-winners from classes 29-31

Sash to Champion and Reserve. Both qualify to go through to the

 

Supreme Championship.

 

Supreme Championship to be held in Ring 1 after conclusion of all

 

section championships
